Open Call to Host RCE Regional Meetings 2019

The Global RCE Service Centre gladly announces an open call to host RCE Regional Meetings for 2019.

Applications are being accepted from now until Thursday 31 January, 2019 (11:59pm JST), with an earlier deadline to allow for more time in the planning process and the ability to host earlier in the year if desired, in response to feedback from the RCE community.

RCE CREIAS-Oeste and RCE Porto Metropolitan Hold 'Acorn, Forest and Food' Event

RCE CREIAS-Oeste and RCE Porto Metropolitan recently cooperated with the Municipality of Arouca and Arouca Geopark Association (organisers of the Arouca Chestnut Festival) to hold an event called 'Acorn, Forest and Food' during the Festival, on 28 October, 2018. This event was also attended by Slow Food Porto and Quercus.

RCE Greater Atlanta Celebrates RCE Acknowledgement with Launch Event

RCE Greater Atlanta celebrated its official launch and acknowledgement by the United Nations University at an event hosted on 10th October, 2018 by the Center for Civil and Human Rights, an RCE member organisation. The event also kicked off the Center’s 70th anniversary celebration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and included presentations by Porsche and the Office of the Consulate General of Switzerland.

Asia-Pacific RCEs Meet in Sydney to Explore Mainstreaming the Global Sustainable Development Agenda

A total of 91 delegates from Regional Centres of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCEs) across Asia-Pacific gathered in the Greater Western Sydney region, one of the most multicultural locations in Australia, for the 11th Asia-Pacific RCE Meeting from 25-27 September, 2018 under the theme ‘Mainstreaming the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Education and Impact’.

RCE Khomas-Erongo Member Wins UNESCO-Japan Prize on ESD

The RCE Service Centre wishes to congratulate the winners of the UNESCO-Japan Prize on ESD, including the Namib Desert Environmental Education Trust (NaDEET), member of RCE Khomas-Erongo in Namibia and a fellow partner organisation in Network 5 for the GAP. The prize honours individuals, institutions, organisations or other entities for outstanding projects or programmes in the field of ESD, with three annual prizes of US $50,000 awarded.
