On January 11, 2024, Learning for Sustainability Scotland (LfSS), organised an evening reception to commemorate a decade since its inception. The reception took place at the illustrious Playfair Library, University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, marking ten years of dedicated efforts in the realm of sustainability education. The event welcomed 80 esteemed guests from various educational backgrounds across Scotland.

The survey gathered institutional responses across four main areas: governance; teaching and learning; research; and community/societal engagement.

UNEP, Second Nature and EAUC are working together to represent the higher education sector in this race and already have more than 700 signatories on board with the aim of reaching 1,000 by COP26 in November 2021.  

A partnership between RCE Greater Western Sydney and RCE Lucknow supported 20 Western Sydney University (WSU) students to visit Lucknow and gain a deeper, first-hand knowledge of the SDGs in a global setting.

RCE Thiruvananthapuram has launched a ‘Campus Leaders for Sustainable Development Programme’ in partnership with various government organisations, private entities, civil society organisations and individual mentors committed to the cause of sustainable development.

The programme aims to identify and mould young leaders from university and college campuses to lead the youth in various realms of sustainability and act as torch bearers for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
