2016 SEAMEO-Japan ESD Award on Saving Energy

If your school is in South East Asia and has implemented activities to reduce energy consumption within the school, you are invited to participate in the 2016 SEAMEO-Japan ESD Award. With the current acknowledgement of 146 RCEs by the UNU-IAS around the world, there remains a paucity of research on whether a particular form of governance has been identified as most effective.

Launch of a “Smart Sustainable Cities” online community

Early this year an online platform was launched by the United Nations to assist cities to become more sustainable. It aims to identify challenges that are having an impact on urban development across the world. The launch of the Smart Sustainable Cities online community comes ahead of the first World Smart City Forum to be held in Singapore in July.

10 YFP on SCP calls for proposals on Sustainable Buildings and Construction

 The 10 Year Framework on Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production launched the 5th call for proposals on Sustainable Buildings and Construction. Governments and NGOs in developing countries and countries with economies in transition are invited to submit proposals. Up to USD 500,000 are available to support up to 3 project proposals.
