The 8^th African RCE Meeting was held at the Chancellor College in Zomba, Malawi from 8^th – 10^th August, 2018.

RCE Kano, in collaboration with Zamfara Environmental Network (ZEN) and the Centre for Renewable Energy and Action on Climate Change organised a one-day conference with a view to proposing solutions for the environmental and security challenges affecting northern Nigeria.

To commemorate World Environment Day (WED) 2018 and its theme 'Beat Plastic Pollution', RCE Minna in collaboration with the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) Niger State Chapter, Niger State Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Niger State Ministry of Lands and Housing, and Niger State Environmental Protection Agency planted 200 trees at the Three Arm Zone in Minna Metropolis.

Oloibiri Youngsters Foundation and Public Library, a member of RCE Greater Yenagoa, marked International Women’s Day (8^th March, 2018) with two events, under the theme ‘Press for Progress – Time is Now’.

RCE Lagos is launching its first Youth Technology Academy to showcase the innovative skills of Nigerian youth, connect them with a community and link them with potential donors, philanthropists, organisations and government agencies. It is calling on youth who are interested in driving Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Sustainable Development (SD) through the use of technology to register to be a part of the academy.
