To review RCE Severn activities to ensure consistency with our Terms of Reference and identify improvement opportunities

Steering group meeting 20th July 2010
3. Participants & role: Who participated in evaluation and what was their role? : 
Steering Group members present at steering group meeting on 20th July; their role was to ensure RCE Severn activities are aligned with the designation objectives and to identify opportunities for improvement
4. Method for getting information: How did you obtain information necessary for evaluation? : 
Coordinator prepared progress report on RCE activities, steering group referred to this and Terms of Reference to identify opportunities for addding value to RCE activities
5. Findings: What are the main findings of your self-evaluation? : 
That the RCE should focus on some key deliverables which should engage widely with RCE partners; given the current financial climate these are likely to be workshops/seminars/conferences with opportunities for collaboration and cross-sector dialogue which could lead to RCE projects and action plans to address specific issues.
6. Evaluation: Please indicate if your RCE undertakes any other forms of evaluation. : 
The Steering Group has agreed that it will review RCE Severn activities every year. New RCE Severn projects are also reviewed to ensure consistency with the Terms of Reference and also significant RCE activity (planned and completed) is reported to the Steering Group, where suggestions for adding value will be made.
