1. Aim: What was the aim of your evaluation? : 
This is the first year where the LRCE had funding for co-ordination. The Director has written a reflective paper (rather than a critcal evaluation with criteria for publication ) in the 'Good Practice for RCEs' contribution to the UNU/RCE Global Conference in November 2011. The following comments are taken from that paper which focusses on the setting up of LRCE.

A review of LRCE papers .
5. Findings: What are the main findings of your self-evaluation? : 
. LRCE needs funding on a sustainable basis - a least three years for planning purposes
2. The impact of LRCE is based on projects and a consistent organisational profile
3. The link with the UNU is vitally important for credibility at an institutional level
4. Providing a forum for discussion and a catalyst for action via other organisations is an important role for the LRCE
