2022 RCE Applications

The Ubuntu Alliance, in its meeting in April 2006 in Yokohama, established the Committee of Peers for RCEs. This Committee reviews applications for new RCEs and provides recommendations to UNU during the RCE acknowledgement process.

The United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) acts as Secretariat of the Ubuntu Alliance.

In the lead-up to the 12th Global RCE Conference in 2021, the hosts RCE Scotland will be hosting two pre-conference webinars.

The first of these, 'RCE Global Network 2021: Achieving the SDGs: Action through Learning' will be held on 4 February, 2021 from 8:00-10:00am GMT.

All 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) took centre stage at the 11th Global RCE Conference, which was hosted by RCE Cebu at the University of the Philippines, Cebu from 7-9 December, 2018 under the theme 'Education for the Sustainable Development Goals'.

Hosted by RCE Cebu, the 11th Global RCE Conference will take place in Cebu, the Philippines, from 7-9 December, 2018, under the theme ‘Education for the Sustainable Development Goals’. All 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will take centre stage, as the SDGs offer RCEs diverse entry points to tackle sustainable development issues relevant to their respective regions through education and training at all levels.
