RCE Greater Pwani
In response to the UNU call for development of regional networks, RCE Greater Pwani was established on 12th November 2010 in a workshop that was attended by key stakeholders from the Coastal region. RCE Greater Pwani was established with the aim of addressing sustainable development challenges within the coastal region of Kenya. The RCE is hosted by Pwani University College, located at Kilifi Town, about 65 km from Mombasa City. Pwani University was appointed to host RCE Greater Pwani, as it is strategically placed, with the necessary capacity and expertise to take the leading role in coordinating the RCE Greater Pwani network and spearheading the regional ESD activities.
