Rationale:
We are holding this annual conference because we need a place / opportunity to relearn the significance of ESD practices through the process of theorizing, presenting, and exchanging opinions on the practices of our members.
Objectives:
At the meeting, each attendee brings up issues in the field that they are involved in and everyone discusses these together. We consider various matters related ESD (Education for Sustainable Development: Movement of empowerment human resource creation and community building to make a society which values sustainability of life), such as the concept, promotion methods, issues and possibilities.
Activities and/or practices employed:
Until the day of the event, the RCE members shared the process of thinking about the theme, program, guests, etc., and organized the two-day conference online. The conference consisted of research presentations, a keynote symposium, an ESD café, a relay of short talks, and an integrated discussion.
Size of academic audience:

On the first day, there were 12 research presentations, of which 5 were by high school students. During lunch time, nine organizations reported on their activities. From the Approaches of Sapporo Free School "Yu"" and Dr. Taku Sugano, "Intersectoral Partnerships: Analyzing the connections that transform society" provided the basis for a panel discussion.
On the second day, there were short talks by 13 RCE members, an ESD cafe by youth members, and finally a summary of the two days through an integral discussion.
