Provide a short description of the project including strategies, regional challenges, aims and specific project activities.: 

The RCE developed and offered the community a conference on the circular economy.  A highly collaborative planning process resulted in a one-half day conference at Grand Valley State university exploring elements of a circular economy from design, to manufacturing and recyling/reuse.  We brought to the stage some of the leading experts in this field including Ken Webster of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in London who joined by satelite.

Description: 
This one-time event engaged over 100 business and design leaders from West Michigan in a "deep dive" exploration of the subject of circular economy and the importance of design, manufacturing and recycling sectors working together from the onset of product development. The conference was well-promoted by our members and well-received by the audience.
