Introduction:

Centre of Quranic Research children cares about the disable children who are left behind in spiritual needs. If this issue is not overcome seriously, it would be a burden to the country in managing the behaviour of these children when they grow up due to no input for their inner peace. The most important is to give the space and opportunity for them to learn Quran. 

Aims:

1. To create awareness among the UM students about the need for spiritual input among special children.

2. To explain the responsibility of participants in giving space and opportunity for special children to have spiritual needs.

3. To impart teaching skills and knowledge to the UM students who are interested to educate the special needs

4. To produce students who have both theoretical and practical skills and are able to teach with empathy 

Knowledge transferred:

This project has three phases which are:

1) Awareness Campaign on Campus

2) Knowledge Sharing, Training and Skills Workshops

3) Programmes for OKU 

Impact of project:

1. Increase revenue – provide an opportunity for university students to gain knowledge and increase their knowledge in teaching Quran and Ibadah to special needs children.

2. Reduce cost of living – short listed student will be selected after an interview session.

3. Increase Productivity – this program could increase the productivity in terms of triggering their creative thinking while dealing with special needs children are unique.

4. Improving the Protection and Safety – Sometimes the behaviours of the children are quite extreme and could threaten the safety of other human beings. Thus, with the right methods and approaches that can help them get to know Quran anD thus can handle their emotion.

5. Foster National Pride – The programme will be unique programme and could be become a project national pride as it could help unemployed among university students who are still young and energetic in helping children with special needs.
