o date a survey was conducted where companies within the Khomas region was contacted. This remains to be done for the Erongo region. Unfortunately, the response was not very positive and therefore it seems that this project will have to be revisited in order to either give it a slightly new direction or encourage companies.

We were surprised by the high degree of unwillingness of companies to support visits and activities for school groups.

15. Type of involvement:
The companies/institutes/organizations can provide opportunities for students and scholars to visit them and be exposed to the outdoor environment and/or the various job opportunities that exist. Therefore, these companies can assist in basic career guidance. One of the challenges that many schools face is provision of transport to their students. The business companies can assist them in this way. Presently there are only a few companies who are willing to provide the assistance the RCE may need from them.
