10. Project results :
The Project will fundamentally innovate education through schooling. For the project aims to structurally integrate science education and entrepreneurship in schooling, the learning of pupils/students and the teaching of teachers.
Youngsters, Schools, Municipalities and Companies (the world of work in general) will directly and increasingly benefit from the project. In short:
Schools will work on basis of thematic subject integration, making much more efficient use of teaching and other scarce educational resources, preparing pupils/student for life after school in a visible, effective, fitting and efficient way. The classroom/textbook based schooling will gradually be replaced by real life learning in the region and cross border (internationalisation, languages), books eventually replaced by Open Educational Resources of exceptional quality.
11. Contribution to reforms and innovations:
Every region partnering in this project (as all European regions) encounter similar challenges in the field of education, schooling and work. The project links local knowledge, innovations, actions and challenges with the national and EU level to address the political issues requiring an integrated and coordinated policy approach. Adoption of the OPEDUCA Concept and –Project by regional, national and European authorities will further immensely strengthen the sustainability of the approach, achievements and project organisation as such.

20. Research & Development (R&D):
Innovating science education and entrepreneurship through an integrated society based approach is entirely new. Empowering, enabling and challenging pupils/students in closest co-construction with their teachers as inquirers and constructors of knowledge, learning integrated in real world community, embedded in a region that opens and supplies all sources of knowledge and experience to the learner and its teacher, has not been shown before. Preliminary exploration found no such innovative practice, only support and need to achieve such Open Educational Regions.
