The project has resulted in seeing one of the Partners acheiving a high score in the Universities 'Green League' tables ( 4th Greenest university in London)and influencing on partner to prioritise the sustainability aspects of the institution on its website.

11. Contribution to reforms and innovations:
At an organisation level the project has 'kept the ESD SG 'flag flying at a time when higher education institutions are radically reassessing their role vis a vis students and society. There is evidence that univerisities are beginning to expect senior staff to understand ESD as an integral part of the way they manage and develop strategies. This group has put energy into maintaining a profile for ESD at a senior level in partner institutions.
12. Unexpected / unplanned results:
here is no budget or allocated resource for this project therefore the people taking part are undertaking work mainly in their own time. We had applied for some funding to conduct a review of all ESD/SD academic activities, including courses, in one partner institution but the funding was not available. This work is still seen as important as an example that that can be evaluated and rolled out to other institutions.

The LRCE was invited to participate with business students in their assessed coursework groups discussing sustainable in business scenariois. This has enbled contact with a wider group of students and was a two way learning experience. Students used real business plans from a range of corporate businesses and conducted role play to critically identify diffulties and inconsistencies in the plans and suggestions on sustainable alternatives. This is an ongoing an developing undergraduate course where lessons from 2011 will be incorporated into next year's student sessions and should be a sopurce of shared knowledge with other HE Partners and businesses.
