4. Cooperation and communication :
The RCE Oldenburger Münsterland mainly consists of a board, executive committee and its secretariat.
The board and executive committee meets four times each year.
The secretariat duties of the RCE will be carried out by the social work faculty of the University of Vechta. The secretariat will carry out decisions of the executive committee and will represent the RCE nationally and internationally.
Andreas Hoenig and Detlev Lindau-Bank are the responsible representatives. Detlev Lindau-Bank is deputised for the secretariat with 10% of his position (4 hours/week). The secretariat have to co-ordinate the meetings of the executive committee, to manage the international contacts.
The RCE Oldenburger Münsterland will provide a website to ensure the communication among the stakeholders. On the website the results of the research-projects and the development of prevention activities towards sustainable development will be published. Furthermore our website will be linked up with the websites of UNU-IAS and other sites which provides information about ESD to underline the global perspective of our topics and project.

9. Educational activities :
The course program which will be developed by RCE Oldenburger Muensterland is driven by educational ideas and the vision to build a educational region towards sustainable development.
The courses meets the needs of young people and young adults and should be an important part of the school programs.

RCE Oldenburger Muensterland adresses regional experts to motivate and support them to develop and improve curricula, prevention programs, trainings and so on towards sustainabiltity.

13. Research & Development (R&D):
Research will have the following focus points:
• Developing an effective course program for Schutzengel-Project
• Developing prevention standards
• Establishing a regional youth report with the focus: sustainable development and planning one’s family
Two main research projects are run by the RCE Oldenburger Münsterland
1. Regular evaluation of the Schutzengel project
• All promoters and providers of the Schutzengel project will take part in this evaluation-process
• Evaluation design is carried out by the University of Vechta
2. Local Annual Youth-Report
• The University of Vechta started a research project with 12 BA Social Work students in July 2008
• The research group will collect available data on youth and young adulthood (supervised by Andreas Hoenig and Detlev Lindau-Bank, University of Vechta).
• This research-project will be mandatory part of the MA Social Work program (which commenced in the winter semester 2008/09)
