International Youth Day: Inspiring the Next Generation of Researchers in Sustainability
Venue: Elizabeth Rose Hall, 5F, United Nations University Headquarters
In Collaboration with:
Hosei University
iuventum
Event Description
Language: English
The United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies, together with Hosei University and iuventum, a German-based NGO, will join efforts to celebrate International Youth Day with a one-day programme that aims to inspire students (high school, undergraduate and graduate students) with encouraging stories to promote building a more sustainable world, whilst offering reflections upon the possibilities of how practical activities may be developed within their own spheres of influence and the contribution a career in research can make to this effort.
This programme has been designed to be delivered by youth speaking to youth, focusing on academic work relevant to raise awareness and show that young individuals can identify robust solutions for the collective problems faced by humanity, with hopes that it will inspire the next generation to engage with sustainability research.
