RCE Delhi is organising its 20th Green Olympiad - the first national and international level annual environment examination for school children. The main objectives of the programme are to reach out to the budding youth segment, catch them ‘young’ to sensitise them on issues pertaining to environment and sustainability and empower them to undertake environment improvement actions.

The Green Olympiad is open to students of grades 4 to 10 / 9 to 14 years old, and is divided into 3 levels: Level I - grades 4 - 5 / 9 – 10 years old; Level II - grades 6 - 8 / 11 – 13 years old; and Level III - grades 9 - 10 / 14 – 15 years old. There are separate registration forms – National (schools within India) and International (schools outside India) for each level and each form is to be supported with a list of students participating in that particular level. Registration can also be made ‘Online’ through the project website - https://www.teriin.org/olympiad/. All instructions related to the examination can be found in the registration forms. There is no upper limit on the number of registrations received from each participating school. All participants will receive certificates based on their performance in the examination.

This year, the examination will be held on 18 September 2019 and 16 October 2019. The examination can be taken on either date.
