2. Project Information
1. Project title:
SappyFest Goes Green!
2. Project Description:
SappyFest is a local music festival that takes place for 3 days every summer in Sackville, NB. In the Tantramar Region, the recycling system is a Wet/Dry system, where wet garbage (predominantly compost) is sorted in green bags and dry garbage (predominantly recycling) is sorted in blue bags. SappyFest has always disposed of its garbage in dumpsters that go straight to the landfill. This year, RCE Tantramar worked with SappyFest, Sackville Public Works, and Westmorland-Albert Solid Waste Corporation to make sure all waste generated by the festival was properly sorted and recycled.
