The festival is about celebrating inovation and rediscovering hope, about exploring where the North East is going - with particular emphasis on the needs of young people - to find new strength for the future

If the events we are to organize attract the numbers we hope for it, and if it inspires young people we will deem it a success. We plan to evaluate as we proceed.

The project is led by a group of 4, who have formed a company to further the project. If we are able to raise the money needed, we will employ people to oversee events, notably the Expo.

What are the current results of the project in terms of Outcomes:
The planning stage is going well, interest is being generated and we should see in the autumn events beginning to happen.

By showcasing innovation, and promoting education this should have good effects particularly locally. and we hope eventually more than that.

Not yet.

(who are the main partners of your project?) NECTER, The Great Debate, Festival of the North East, Lindisfarne Gospels, British Association Science Festival. We are negotiating with Crisis Skylight, the National Trust, Beamish Open Air Museum and exploring other possibilities.

Our partners are helping us develop our ideas, 'The Great Debate' for example is helping us develop and run this section of the project, the Science Festival (and Newcastle University with them) is working with us in terms of the Expo, we are working with more and more groups to develop the filming side of the project.

We plan to evaluate the festival as it develops - money permitting - by engaging someone with the relevant ability to assess the success of the project. At this stage this - and the answer to 21 and 22 is an expression of hope.
