10. Project results :
In the starting period learning contents and specific needs in the partner regions were analysed by Institute of Applied Building Technology of Hamburg University of Technology. Modern technology and building techniques as well as new materials and latest products were investigated and gathered to find the crucial issues for future needs on construction sites and train participants how to interact with other people involved. We have involved small and mid-sized enterprises (SME) through opinion polls and workshops to make them recognise and discuss with them the principles of economy, ecology and social responsibility in their business. The next milestone is to evaluate the first wave of newly developed learning materials. Cross-sector modules to feature responsibility and quality thinking will be developed in the second half of the project period. We will be happy to share our experience with interested members of the global RCE network.
11. Contribution to reforms and innovations:
At national level the goal is to launch ESD in existing curricula of the apprenticeship of crafts(wo)men with the support of the German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (www.bibb.de). We want to showcase ESD practice in our field of business and education.
