10. Project results :
Potentials and perceptions regarding e-mobility (especially e-bikes) are being collected in comparison between representatives of Styrian municipalities, active e-bikers as well as interested people. The outcome is a specific picture of the current mood in e-mobility in rural areas in the province of Styria in order to support political as well as economic decision making. A study report was developed.
11. Contribution to reforms and innovations:
The results and perceptions may support political decision making at a local and provincial level as well as provide useful insights for e-bike selling companies – as the results contain information e.g. about demands regarding public infrastructure, individual mobility behaviour or characteristics of users.
12. Unexpected / unplanned results:
Although the survey was promoted via a lot of e-mailing lists, homepages and social networks, only a little number of active e-bikers filled out the survey. Hence comparisons between perceptions among e-bikers and interested people were difficult to a certain extent.

18. Learning activities:
Learning on the one hand happened through a literature review, where current information about e-mobility, especially focusing on e-bikes and rural areas was collected. On the other hand the project status and results were reflected with all partners during regular project meetings.

20. Research & Development (R&D):
The project "E-mobility in the province of Styria" presents a research project as such, as it collects data of e-mobility related aspects in Styria that have not existed before. Research questions focus on the role and potentials of e-bikes, especially in rural areas as well as on identifying characteristics of active e-bikers and their experiences.
An added value is being created by the involvement of the Styrian municipalities (there exist 542 municipalities and 98 filled out the questionnaire) as they are the ones that conduct activities on the local level.
