2022 IKSCM International Webinar Series
As the lead institution of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Indigenous Knowledge System and Cultural Management (IKSCM) Program, titled "Intensifying the Filipino Culture towards Sustaining the Indigenous Peoples' Knowledge System in Saving Natural Habitat, Landscape and Practices through Education and Community Development", Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) will be conducting the 2022 IKSCM International Webinar Series via virtual mode in various thematic areas.
The IKSCM International Webinar Series is entitled 'Decolonization of People and their Indigenous Knowledge: Issues, Concerns, Challenges and Emerging Trends in Education, Health and Medicine, Culture and Arts, and Agriculture and Food.'

The webinar series is a collaboration of MMSU’s partners, the University of Saskatchewan (USask), Saskatchewan Council for International Cooperation (SCIC) and members of the PhilCanEDUCON Magic 7+, namely: Benguet State University (BSU), Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Central Mindanao University (CMU), Don Mariano Marcos State University (DMMMSU), Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Mountain Province State University (MPSPC), and University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) and jointly co-organised with RCE Ilocos (MMSU's role within the RCE is Chair, INSC Governing Board and President).
The activity aims to disseminate relevant and challenging trends on indigenous knowledge systems and cultural management along the thematic areas on cultural education, health and medicine, culture and arts, and agriculture and food; encourage active involvement of individuals and institutions working on culture and indigenous knowledge towards sustainable development; develop collaborative partnerships along the thematic areas of IKSCM in the development of instruction, research, extension and community development, and business management; and lastly document the different activities in coming up with proceedings and publications for wider knowledge exchange between and among the key players, stakeholders and partners involved in Indigenous Knowledge System and Cultural Management.
