Many actors have joined forces in the network "RCE BenE München", in the "Akteursplattform BNE" or in the "Münchner Initiative Nachhaltigkeit" (MIN).
- The RCE BenE Munich acts as a platform for education for sustainable development (ESD) in Munich, a cross-cutting issue in politics, administration and civil society, with the aim of anchoring and further developing ESD in Munich's urban society in the long term.
- The RCE BenE Munich networks educational institutions and educational actors from the following areas: schools, universities, extracurricular places of learning, associations, foundations, administration, companies, institutions, NGOs, initiatives, multipliers and citizens.

- The RCE BenE Munich focuses on promoting awareness and the holistic educational approach of ESD in its educational work in Munich.
- In addition, the association works together with members and partners to anchor ESD in the structures of Munich's educational landscape - towards a sustainable educational landscape.
- In this context, the RCE BenE Munich sees itself as an initiator of ESD projects or ESD offers (e.g. for universities or schools).
- The RCE BenE Munich is a provider of ideas, initiates cooperations and acts as a cooperation partner for an ESD in Munich.
Special focus:
The RCE BenE Munich (RCE Munich) aims to raise awareness of systems thinking and promotes exchange and cooperation between local, regional, national and international project groups (e.g. students) and educational actors. This conveys complex interrelationships and competitions/dilemmas of the SDGs and enables participants to reflect on the global impact of local activities.
