The RCE Kyrgyzstan project goal was focused on transformation of new knowledge on “green” economy and “green” skills led by ESD holistic approach to train and educate TVET students and MSME’s employers. TVET students and MSMEs employers effectively developed their competence in sustainable development principles, to continue introduce the “green” skills though education their working places and their life on different levels. One of the project results is that number of lyceums reconsiders its curriculum in order to add sustainable development issues. Now lyceums are working on introduction of new “green” professions. The project created capacity for 100 TVET educators, 50 employers from business, and 50 representors from local communities. During the project were conducted sociological research for TVET educators and MSMEs to indicate their needs and ways how to introduce SD principal and “green” skills. Project team prepared, published and disseminated the book among participants and stakeholders.

Description: 
The project created capacity of educators, TVET teachers and students, small business employers and local communities on introducing Sustainable Development and Sustainable Lifestyle principles in daily life though education for sustainable development. Project participants gained new knowledge on “green” technologies, sustainable consumption and production for the reorientation of MSMEs towards ”green” economy. The project promoted importance of sustainability, ways to save energy, water, soil, biodiversity, human resources and funds for businesses. Involvement of local communities taught them in practice what is sustainable consumption and production. The project introduced the sustainable lifestyle approach in TVET and MSEMs as follows:
• Shared vision of sustainable lifestyles, through transition “green” skills in TVET and local
business and communities;
•Introduced “green” economy practices across all sectors of society, the project initiated
activities how to “ greening” business on local level, integrated sustainable lifestyles
principles in TVET;
•Provided capacity building trainings for achieving sustainable lifestyles for TVET educators, students, MSMEs and local communities and developed new educational curriculum.
RCE KG developed and published a book “The role of education for sustainable development in transition to a "green” economy in Kyrgyz Republic”. The book was published in Russian and English languages and was disseminated among TVET educators, MSME’s and local communities. RCE KG conducted 2 sociological researches, three round tables, two regional seminars where more than 200 participants from TVET, MSEMs, and
local communities were trained.
The project established partnership in five sectors: Government - State Agency on Environmental Protection and Forestry of the KR (SAEPF KR), Education - TVET, Business – SME’s, Civil society- PA RCE KG, and Local communities through transition to sustainable lifestyle in working and home environments, “green” skills, “green” working places.
