Provide a short description of the project including strategies, regional challenges, aims and specific project activities.:

Australia is one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) 'multicultural' nations in the world. The Our Place, Building CALD Capacity for Healthy Environments project was comprised of two phases: 1. An analysis of the current environment and environmental sustainability activities, challenges and future opportunities for CALD communities in the Blacktown Local Government Area (LGA); and 2. A “Photovoice Exhibition” and a community networking showcase event across Greater Western Sydney. It was funded by the Office of Environment and Heritage.

The aim of the partnership project is to facilitate community participation, leadership and regional networking for environmental sustainability.

Phase 1: Building CALD Capacity for Healthy Environments, Blacktown - An Abundant Community. This research mapped and analysed the current and environmental sustainability activities, challenges and future opportunities for CALD communities in the Blacktown Local Government Area (LGA).
