5. Project description
Provide a short description of the project including strategies, regional challenges, aims and specific project activities.:

Funded by Metro (our regional government in Portland, Oregon), representatives from minority organizations were funded as Leaders to engage in leadership development and community building. Groups with traditional advantages and lower levels of diverse leadership were titled as Allies.  We were asked to talk through the structural and cultural barriers that limit inclusive leadership and to commit to serving as allies to increase diversity in our organizations.  We had engaging meetings as separate and combined groups and made a strong commitment to increasing leadership development of non-represented groups in our community.
