The lead agency of RCE Chandigarh, Punjab State Council for Science & Technology ,co- organized following capacity building activities as under:

1) A Capacity Building Workshop for farmers on Wetland Conservation & Organic Farming

2) A Training Workshop for Nature Guide Student Volunteers at Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala

3) Capacity Building Workshop on Fishermen Livelihood at Khalsa College, Amritsar.

Description: 
1) A Capacity Building Workshop for farmers on Wetland Conservation & Organic Farming : Two capacity building workshops were organized for farmers on wetland conservation & organic farming at village Bhail Dhaiwala in District Tarn Taran and village Hamira in Kapurthala District on 22.12.2014 by Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST) in collaboration with Department of Agriculture Tarn Taran & Kapurthala. More than hundred farmers were present in each workshop.
2)A Training Workshop for Nature Guide Student Volunteers at Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala: A Nature Guide training workshop for student volunteers was organised on 31.08.2015 by Punjab State Council for Science & Technology in collaboration with Pushpa Gujral Science city at Science city, Kapurthala. It was attended by around hundred students and 20 teachers from different districts of Punjab. The resource persons The resource persons gave information about different aspects of wetland and how students can play a key role in their conservation by being a Nature guide. The students were also given resource material related to wetlands & biodiversity of Punjab and were also motivated for bird watching. They were also taken to the Science city to see the exhibits in Science city.
3)Capacity Building Workshop on Fishermen Livelihood at Khalsa College, Amritsar : A capacity building workshop on Fishermen Livelihood was organised by Punjab State Council for Science & Technology in collaboration with Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission at Khalsa College, Amritsar on 17.09.2015. Around hundred fishermen attended this workshop.
