Provide a short description of the project including strategies, regional challenges, aims and specific project activities.: 

Co-hosted by GPSEN, Hosteling International, and UNA Portland, we celebrated World Environment Day by focusing on the Global Goals with a large tabling event at the Hawthorne Hostel.  The planning team created a matrix highlighting groups throughout the Portland region that are engaging in efforts to address the issues covered in the different Sustainable Development Goals, from poverty and hunger to climate change and peace.  The event included live music, locally sourced food and beer, presentations, and raffle prizes.

Description: 
This was a really inspiring event and helped bring the SDGs to the local level, highlighting how we are all involved in implementing them. In addition to teaching our community about the SDGs, it was invaluable to map out organizations that were addressing the 17 SDGs in our region.
