RCE Hohhot-2013

a) Criteria/ indicators used to assess aspects of RCE work/ project: Character count 300 words: 
The program “Inner Mongolia Higher Schools Environment and Sustainable Development Innovation Lecture” solves the regional problems on sustainable development. The program provides a creatively prospective of view for the local students and community members of how we protect the ecological environment and promote the prairie sustainable development as well as the awareness of that.
b) Successes of the RCE and lessons learned: Character count 300 words: 
The students from different backgrounds took part in the program. The students will think independently, learn how to cooperate, how to define and find problems, learn how to lead the group and communicate. The program itself offers students an excellent chance to learn formally and informally. We invited several experts in and outside the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to give lectures to students. Also, we went outside of universities to communities. We use the multiple community resources to let students to practice and get in touch with the real world. Another important job is to cooperate with local environmental protection bureau and higher educational bureau, so that we could spread the program not only to higher education organizations as well as middle schools, not only in Hohhot but also the whole Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The total numbers to students that took part in the “Inner Mongolia Higher Schools Environment and Sustainable Development Innovation Lecture” program has reached more than 1000 in the whole Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The basic principle of the program is the following five: multiple disciplines, practicing, for students, community service and regional.
c) Challenges experiences: Character count 300 words: 
The problem facing now is to gain more support from our universities. For a new listed course. It is a challenge to set up and promote a new course in universities. Also, we need more qualified teachers with comprehensive knowledge as well as detailed teaching planning to fit the program.
