12th Americas Regional Meeting

The 12th Americas Regional Meeting was held in a hybrid format from 27-29 September 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The meeting was hosted by RCE Greater Atlanta under the theme 'Youth Engagement – Empowering Our Youth to Be Changemakers'.

Youth are the future; RCE Greater Atlanta has made youth engagement a priority since its inception. College students and young professionals from Metro Atlanta and North Georgia have formed a strong network of changemakers who engage in multiple initiatives. Students from multiple institutions share leadership and collaborate to develop and implement programs and projects with community partners. This network of engaged youth brings energy, action, and results to community projects, with their positive impact being felt by the communities they serve. In return, participating youth develop valuable skills in community-building, communication, and project management.

This meeting provided an opportunity for RCEs in the region to showcase youth engagement and youth network activity, building on the already engaged coalition of youth across RCEs in the Americas. In addition, it allowed for the follow-up on previous conversations and actions agreed upon at the 2022 meeting related to the RCE Americas governance structure.
