Description of RCE and Geographic Region:

The Hyogo region is thought of as a microcosm of Japan geographically; Kobe city is recovering from the disaster (earthquake) in 1995, and there is a huge variety of organisations for empowering citizens to realise, think and act.

  • To be a platform of dialogue among various ESD stakeholders
  • Enhancing people’s awareness (consciousness) and activities for SD in the regional community by multiple methods
