We are pleased to announce the open call for applications for the role of Regional Youth Coordinators for the 2025-2026 term. This is an excellent opportunity for engaged youth within the RCE community to take on a leadership role and contribute to advancing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in their regions. 

The appointment of Regional Youth Coordinators to the RCE Community will strengthen youth involvement in the decision-making process, coordinate the regional endeavours to empower youth on sustainable development and facilitate youth-led and youth-focused initiatives at the regional and global levels.

1.     Eligibility for application 

• Applicants must be actively engaged in an officially recognised Regional Centers of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCEs).
• Applicants must be aged 35 or younger*.
• Current Regional Youth Coordinators appointed for 2023-2024 term are also eligible to apply. 

* Please note that The Global RCE Service Centre defines youth as individuals between the ages of 15 and 35, with some flexibility. However, taking into account the varied national and regional definitions of ‘youth’, each region can adopt other definitions of youth accordingly. 

2.     Application Documents

Applicants are required to complete the Online Application Form and submit the following documents by attaching them to the form.

• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Recommendation Form

This form should be completed and signed by the coordinator (main/secondary contact person or alternate representative) of your RCE. Please download the form, request your RCE coordinator to complete and sign it, and then upload it to the online form.

3.     Submission Deadline

Please submit the completed application form along with the required documents through the above-mentioned online Application Form by 15 October 2024*.  
* Kindly note that submission after the deadline or incomplete application will not be considered.
