Organised by RCE Penang, Universiti Sains Malaysia in collaboration with Penang State Education Department and Penang Education Council, the online webinar 'Empowering Students' Leadership in SDGs via Intergenerational Knowledge Transfer' will be held virtually on 11 September, 2021 (10:00am-11:30am). This project focuses on three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) themes: No Poverty (SDG 1); Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12); and Life Below Water (SDG 14). All the themes were chosen as they are very close to students' life experience and are dynamic for empowering students about ESD and the SDGs. The live webinar will be broadcasted via RCE Penang's Facebook page and Cisco WebEx via the QR Code given (see flyer).

Student leadership in sustainability cannot be achieved if depended on by a single stakeholder. One of the proven strategies in developing students' leadership is via collaboration. In line with 21st century learning competencies, it is essential to empower students in creating knowledge transfer related to sustainability to the younger generation. The program involved intergenerational knowledge transfer between SDGs content experts, RCE Youth and school students focusing on the three Sustainable Development Goals mentioned above.
