Rationale:
North Texas boasts a booming economy and a reputation for being a hub for innovation. While there are pockets of innovation in North Texas, collaboration between different sectors (e.g., universities, startups, corporations) can be limited. Balancing economic growth with environmental responsibility can be a challenge. North Texas may need to invest in renewable energy infrastructure and sustainable transportation options. Overcoming these challenges requires collaboration between various stakeholders, including government agencies, universities, businesses, and community organizations. Initiatives like the Urban Resilience Fellows Program show promise in fostering collaboration and addressing some of these issues.

Funding:
The projects are funded by the partners who participate on the program. They commit to $5000 which goes towards faculty fellowship, student fellowship and administrative support.
