Sometimes all it needs is a kick-start to make things happen! The EcoChallenge is an annual community event that does exactly that. For two weeks, individually or in teams, people chose actions to reduce their environmental impact.
EcoChallenge 2015 just wrapped up with over 4,300 people proving that small actions add up to real change! The commitment of people and their communities have been impressive to see over the course of the past two weeks. EcoChallengers have made a real difference. Taking the time to try on new habits and making a difference in a community is no small thing.
Meeting brief on RCE members' session, 15 October, 2015

The African RCE Conference took place on 14-16 October, 2015 in Entebbe, Uganda. With 32 participants from different parts of the African continent, the closed strategic RCE member session on day two of the conference was well attended. The three hour meeting (14:00-17:00) gave the opportunity to discuss several major items on the agenda.
The Japanese RCE Meeting was held in Sendai, Japan on 16 March 2015 hosted by RCE Greater Sendai. All six Japanese RCEs (RCE Greater Sendai, RCE Yokohama, RCE Chubu, RCE Hyogo-Kobe, RCE Okayama and RCE Kitakyushu) came together and reported activities implemented in 2014. Below are the major activities of each RCE.
A new long-term vision to address today’s great challenges of global environmental change and sustainability via enduring social transformations and social change is launched today with an initial 2.7 M € three-year commitment from the International Social Science Council.
