COP27 Action Hub Event - Beyond Classrooms: Education as a Mechanism for Community Climate Action

This side event of the UN Climate Change Conference 2022 (UNFCCC COP27) in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, will discuss transformative community-based climate action and the importance of local solutions to global issues. Organised by UNU-IAS, it will share examples of education for sustainable development (ESD) projects implemented by the global network of Regional Centres of Expertise for ESD (RCEs).

  • Interactive project presentation by RCE Denmark (10 min) - Mr. David Rangan – Apprentices in Sustainability: Vocational training in wood as an element of sustainable construction methods

This event will be open to all participants of UNFCCC COP27. It will be part of the Action Hub in the Blue Zone at COP27 and live-streamed on the UNFCCC website.
