1. Project title: 
Inglewood Triangle
2. Project Description: 
Working with a local Friends group, affiliated with a founding partner organisation (Urban Bushland Council) to raise awareness in local school children about the natural biodiversity of a small piece of banksia woodlands. The program of works included revegetation, bush walks and hand weeding.

More students have been exposed to the wonderful biodiversity of banksia woodlands.
Approx 70 bushranger cadets have been involved in Inglewood triangle activities during 1st semester. Approximately 60 primary school students have been introduced to Inglewood Triangle as part of their learning about the natural environment. Further school visits are scheduled for Spring.

15. Type of involvement: 
The education of students is the focus of this project. Each of the partners has a specific role. Teachers or cadet leaders identify an activity that meets educational outcomes; The community group provides guides on the day; the University provides additional expertise and educational resources and the local council provides information, expertise and materials.

Using Inglewood Triangle as an outdoor laboratory - presenting the biodiversity of the area, identifying the threats to that biodiversity

The learning activities are 'hands on' and involve field walks, examination of local plants and animals. Students are asked to consider the threats to the local environment and to identify ways of mitigating those threats.
