The discussion will start with an overview of some current global sustainability strategies and programmes including the draft Global Action Programme on ESD. The session will also focus on how to make RCEs more visible in international sustainability (SD/ESD) processes following up on the action points made at the 7th Global RCE Conference in Tongyeong. The session will also dwell on the opportunities, modalities and actions including alignment and positioning of RCE programmes with UN bodies and other international and regional organisations, bringing good cases to UN processes, working with international groups, and involvement in specific international events, among others. Discussion will also be conducted as to how the RCE community can contribute to the implementation of the post-2014 Global Action Programme on ESD.

Hello! I am Masango from RCE Buea Cameroon. I really do think this is an important group that needs more contributions than it is currently receiving. I think that if the global RCE body can establish some sort of partnerships or other collaborative accords with other big international organisations, we will get more attention and support at local level too.
